HKB Martial Art schools offer realistic yet safe self-defence. All of our basic techniques have been tried and tested over the past 100+ years and can be used against all other systems i.e Kickboxing, Judo, Aikido, Boxing Jujitsu and so on.

Our martial art classes are based on the Maximum Efficiency of Time, Space and Energy, meaning you will be confident that you and your family are getting the best training available at our professional, fully equipped Schools where you will be under the close guidance of our fully qualified and experienced instructors who teach all of our students how to remain safer, healthier and happier.

Fitness is an important goal for many, and research has consistently shown how crucial physical fitness is for maintaining health. Martial art training is a great way to improve one’s strength, flexibility and ability to control his or her muscles. Even those who just want to look good should strongly consider attending our classes to give themselves a great beach body. In addition, our classes prepare students for excelling in other common physical sporting activities. Skating or dancing, for example, requires balance, and martial art training is a great way to improve one’s ability to balance. 

Children's lessons at HKB Martial Arts emphasise on learning how to focus and concentrate, which are two major skills needed to succeed in everything that children do. We use fun and easy to learn  exercises and techniques that help children remain focused on the task at hand, students will learn how to concentrate and excel in the classroom. Furthermore, respect is taught at HKB Martial Arts. Many parents have learnt the fact that children can often seem disrespectful to others. Teaching these lessons seems to discourage children from being disrespectful. Through our classes children will learn that respect is important. While martial art training focuses on defending oneself, students are taught to only use their training if it is absolutely necessary. Some parents fear that their children will become aggressive, but most teachers find the opposite of it. Those who have the confidence necessary to defend themselves are less likely to become violent. Children as well as adults also often suffer from low self-esteem, and martial art training is a great way to combat low levels of confidence. 

Family training - Martial arts is a great activity for the whole family and with group classes available for children, youth and adults the parents will benefit tremendously from the physical exercise they receive during training, and their children can benefit from the mental skills they learn. Along the way, all family members will learn how to defend themselves. Regardless of a family member’s age or physical fitness, training at HKB Martial Arts is a great way to exercise and stay safe.
